On a visit to Cootamundra this week, the town provided me with a quite murky fog. Not many ideal scenarios came to mind so I took a position on the railway overpass hoping a sunrise of sorts may eventuate. Cootamundra has a long history as a key railway centre … it is a train spotters delight, with two railway stations, ‘Central’ Station, which contains a pedestrian overbridge, and Cootamundra West Railway Station, which is no longer operational, however a historic tourist site. There are also numerous over and under-bridges nearby and the famous ‘Bethungra Spiral’ only 10 minutes drive to the south.
Used the jpeg version to put through Oloneo software which has given this some extra fine detail.
