Following on from The Rose ~ 1, I’ve tried a different process (also different view and using my P&S camera this time!) hopefully giving the more faded appearance.
Original photo desaturated, blended with a photo of cracked paint, and edged in CS3

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!
I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.
This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!

I LOVE this one – oh so pretty. LOL – that flute gets a work out! At least now I know why there were dead flowers all over the back table!!
Arrrghh I uploaded an unfinished version, and you still favourited it! Thank you Sarah! Some of the dead flowers have gone – a few ‘treasures’ are lingering on in case … !!!

This has such a perfect balance Rosalie, failing flowers can be OK, but laid atop the music with flute in the back=magic. :)

So soft and beautiful and very well put together (I can see where your daughter gets her creativity from so easily).
The textures on the sheet music go so well with the soft roses and their eliquent shadows and the sax (is it a sax) along the top frames it all really well too.
Hugs to you Stuart – Sarah has more creativity in her little finger than I have in my whole body! Thanks for your encouragement!
