Update on Dennis Gay
Dennis posted this to Facebook a day or so ago (I have been away)… He also asked me to include his thanks in the previous Journal…you’ll find it as the final bold paragraph here
If you’d like to speak to him privately feel free to BM your email address and I will pass it on … as he’s not feeling too special at the moment he may not be up to responding immediately, but there will no doubt be days when he’s feeling a tad better and will appreciate people to ‘talk’ to!!!
UPDATE: Hello folks. Just a quick visit. The chemo has hit me right from the start and I have been pretty sick since I woke up on Saturday morning. I’m getting my head around it and sorting things out so I can cope with Life, The Universe and Everything and just plodding on. My concentration level is shot so I will only be dropping in occasionally to let you know I’m still kickin’ and probably having a quick look around to see how all of you lot are going. God bless you all. D!
SECOND UPDATE: 22 MAY : Day4 – A little better today. Had a good meal of homemade beef soup last night and that perked me up. I could actually taste the different flavours! I’m going to go to my camera club meeting tonight and if I feel OK in the morning I’m off for some CCT (Crèma caffeine Therapy). I haven’t had a coffee since Thursday. GASP! From Darin’ Den , The Chemo Kid. GB all,
DENNIS’S RESPONSE 24 May 2012 … My warmest thanks to all – every little bit of support and encouragement helps me more than you can ever know. GB D!

I hope all goes well for him, Rosalie. My husband found the worst part of chemo was the extreme tiredness it caused and the loss of appetite and taaste. I hope he can taste all the flavour of his coffee, and enjoy every sip of it. Please give Denis all my best.
Much appreciated Jan – will be passing these comments on!! Loss of taste is a real downer – I agree with your sentiiments! x

I hope everything turns out alright Rosalie.
Awful to hear of Dennis’s health issues, please pass on my good thoughts to him. When he was on RB his comments were always so encouraging and upbeat, his enthusiasm is missed on here. I hope the chemo doesn’t rob him of too much of that enthusiasm and zest that is obviously a big part of who he is. Putting good thoughts out there for him x
Thanks Trish – these thoughts will be passed on to Dennnis xxxx

I’ve been keeping tabs on Facebook and will continue to do so, thanks for looking after him this way Rosalie, he has a good friend in you….. :o)xox
There’s quite a few not on FB so this is a good way for them to keep up. You also are a first class carer my girl!! Thanks for the encouragement. xx

Keep on keepin’ on, Dennis! Glad to see you have a sense of humor. Attitude is very important. My prayers are with you.
Hang in there Dennis. You’re in my thoughts and prayers from now on. I’m sending positive vibes you’re way.
Have sent your comments on to Dennis in an email today (24 May)
Not long back fro overseas, I had wondered for a while where Dennis had disappeared to … he viewed my work occasionally with some excellent constructive criticism and I have missed his down to earth words.
I am sorry to hear of his health issues and hope the chemo is effective and doesn’t knock him around too much.
I trust he enjoyed his “Crèma caffeine Therapy” and that he is able to visit his favourite haunt frequently.
RD-Please express my thoughts and prayer for Dennis… Thanks so much ♥ I SO hate this has happened!
