It's good news week!

Firstly (as those who are on Facebook will know already) I discovered a First, a Second and a Highly Commended adorning three of my images in the Bathurst Show (NSW Australia) a week or so ago, and …

Secondly this afternoon received news that Books are the Quietest and Most Constant of Friends has taken second place in the Evoke Your Senses competition run in aid of the Fred Hollows Foundation. Woohoo! (Lovely to see my granddaughter Zoe also has a Highly Commended in her agegroup).

It takes effort to enter these comps, but if you don’t have a go, you’ll never never know … if you shy away from these things, make this the year to give it a whirl!

Oh and a couple of RB sales add to the joy …

Hey great work! They know good stuff when they see it..

  • You are kind Mandy … the image has my old late dad’s spectacles in it, so maybe that helped (Fred Hollows, and all!!) … but whatever, the placing is a nice encouragement.
