I feel like I’ve lost a member of my family. Even when Paul broke his artificial leg he made it into a humorous story. In spite of his difficulties he found a way to continue life to the fullest and was such an inspiration to me. I always valued and appreciated his comments. I am deeply saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. Although I never met Paul in person we photographed many of the same areas here in Washington and occasionally discussed our adventures in photography. I will also miss our friendly gibes at each other (I’m a west sider) and his comments and advice in regards to my images. As photographers we put a little of our selves in every one of our images. Every time you look at one of Paul’s photographs you will be looking at what made Paul. We will all miss the pleasure of looking at his images. I wish you well in the days to come.

Obviously, 8 years later, I have no way to support myself. My 18 year old son enlisted and will leave in November to begin his training. I did not know Paul that close. We’ve exchanged a few comments on eachothers work in DPF and here on Redbubble.
