Front cover

Start Month:

Images from the life and times of Ned Kelly and his sister Kate, mostly taken at the Museum at Glenrowan (Victoria, Australia). The photo of Kate’s Grave has been provided by Tainia Finlay – it is located in the Parkes cemetary.
Verbal permission was received to take these photographs, February 2010.

I am happy to change the order of the images, or to source alternative ones from my archives if you’d prefer!!

I suffer from viewfinder vision (find myself visualising a frame around everything I see) so my genre is “anything that moves and most things that don’t”!!

I don’t so much wish to document places and things, as to evoke feeling and emotion.

This leads to a diverse portfolio and constantly overloaded external hard drives…not to mention some burning of the midnight oil as I keep looking for that elusive perfect process for yet another ‘masterpiece’!!!

A fabulous collection of images Rosalie, a beautifully presented calendar!! (I have not been on the RB that often of late and I’m sorry to have missed your images)

  • No need to apologise John – we all have to make sure we remember there is a real world out there, that needs us! Thank you for the lovely comment.

This would have to be unique because I can’t say I’ve come across such a calendar before. All your shots are so excellent and such a great interpretation of how things were in those days. The scenes tell the stories, for sure but it’s your finishing touches to the images that make them stand out. Great work.

  • And a big gold star to a special workhorse of a camera which does an amazing job under whatever circumstances it is faced with! :+))
