  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Hey Tim – it is usually rusty barbed wire that gets my attention – but I couldn’t resist the droplets here! Thanks amigo.

You continue to inspire me with your wonderful images!
I laughed when I read your comments as I, too, hear ‘voices’ asking ‘what’s she doing now? Taking another photo??’ .....
Maybe we need some ‘medication’ for the voices in our head?!

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

This voice Lenita was a real one – I was out with 2 fellow photographers who shall remain nameless, in case I get myself into trouble here!! There are other times though when medication would be indicated – esp when I climb fences and lurk in places where perhaps I shouldn’t!!

  • Claire Farley

    Claire Farley

Whoever thought Barbed wire could look this beautiful? great job Rosalie!

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Claire I suspect it is the contrast between the soft web and water, and the harsh barbed wire which speaks to us – - thanks for the comment.

  • buddykfa

    buddykfa

my god this is beautiful !!!! Very well shot!
Great focus. The web holding the water droplets is magnificent. The patina of the wire has grown to match the color of the vegetation in the blurred background. You really discovered a winner hear and shot it very well !
    buddy

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Well buddy, to think I waited 24 hours to put this up thinking it may not be good enough. That often happens – then I find it is one that catches people’s imagination. Thank you so much – esp for the favouriting.

  • Dennis Gay

    Dennis Gay

    G’day Rosalie,

This has been very well done with good photography and processing rendering a well composed and interesting study of the working part of barbed wire.
A very good choice of wire section, very well composed, made at an interesting angle, technically very good and with the exposure and processing making full use of that lovely morning light.
A spider web AND dew drops adds a very nice touch to the image and give it “life”.
Great bokeh and very sharp focus with wonderful colours.
    But that light….............!!!!!
    Great work kiddo!

The web and the water droplets are just gorgeous.

ive had a pretty busy time lately.
new job – no longer an IT guy, soon to have a new house (going 1/5th with my parents – being single its impossible to afford a house otherwise).. getting a live show organised for my music, new laptop delivered yesterday – so the live set is moving forward… been organising a fringe festival show for next year….
then we had the heatwave before that – my internet connection wasnt working too well for that period, and due to the heat i was basically a week with migraines (had my nose op recently and sinuses playing up..).. oh and yesterday my external HDD almost died.. so been backing up..
    in short me= busy.

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

In other words, situation ‘normal’ !!!!! (Know the feeling – eg had to reinstal corrupted software today !!) Glad to have you back! Now do we need to solve the ‘single’ problem – I noticed a cry for guys in another gallery this morning … ???!
