  • Sharon Hammond

    Sharon Hammond

Looks like an opera singer Rosalie

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Hmmm tenor or bass Sharon?!! Probably is less ‘scream’ and more ‘sing’ isn’t he on second thoughts.

    Like this, nice PS work.

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Thanks Warren – didn’t have to do too much to him as he was this strange shape already – but isolating him from the background certainly gave him a bit of oomph.

  • Sharon Hammond

    Sharon Hammond

mmm…the low one – not sure which one that is but he’s singing Figaro.

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Bass Sharon – maybe we need to feed him up a bit or he’ll never rival Pavarotti.

  • Phil Thomson IPA

    Phil Thomson IPA

Excellent, Work, Rosalie !!! Sharon’s right about the opera singer, but I don’t think he’ll replace Pavarotti quite yet, not the same build !!

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

You are right Phil- needs a few good roast chickens to build him up!! Thanks for the kind words.

  • Bill Fonseca

    Bill Fonseca

I really like your scream series Rosalie. Mind you, I had to look at it a few times to realise that it was yours. Well done. The clown one is my fav…awesome lighting.

There is so much personality in this that I want to keep staring at it to find out what is going on in his mind. You just might have unveiled a new cartoon character, Rosalie.

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Oh dear Summayyah now we’ll have to think of a name for him. Thank you for your encouragement.

  • olawunmi

    olawunmi

  • Kofoed

    Kofoed

These are wonderful, Rosalie. I like your no. 2 far best (I have something with clowns). Again, your processing is exquisite.
Are they by any chance inspired by “The Scream” by the very famous (in Scandinavia, at least) painting by the Norwegian artist Edward Munch? This may be seen here:
    http://bjornkelsen.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/skriget.jpg
This was dated 1893, was very valuable, and was stolen in 2004. It was delivered back in 2006, presumably because nobody dared to have it, but was damaged by moisture beyond restoration.

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Kofoed I have seen Munch’s “Scream” a number of times, but didn’t consciously name these after him – maybe deeeeeep down it lingered on! Certainly that painting is amazing. Thanks for the kind words my friend.

  • pryere
