Nancy Stafford
great artwork
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thank you Nancy – just a photo treated in PS but I quite like the result!
marts1
I can see this as a new cartoon character
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Poor thing is probably more cartoonish than scarey isn’t he!!! Thanks Marts.
pinkyjain
This is really neat & fantastic Rosalie
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thank you for the favouriting pinky – I am flattered! This clown would be flattered also if he knew!
Sharon Hammond
Looks like an opera singer Rosalie
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Hmmm tenor or bass Sharon?!! Probably is less ‘scream’ and more ‘sing’ isn’t he on second thoughts.
Noelene Davies
Lol Rosalie what next are you going to come up with.? Fantastic work.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thanks Noelene – I’m trying not to laugh at him cos he looks so serious …
Warren Williams
Like this, nice PS work.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thanks Warren – didn’t have to do too much to him as he was this strange shape already – but isolating him from the background certainly gave him a bit of oomph.
Sharon Hammond
mmm…the low one – not sure which one that is but he’s singing Figaro.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Bass Sharon – maybe we need to feed him up a bit or he’ll never rival Pavarotti.
jlynn
Fabulously Fun,, Great work:)
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Pleased you like him jlynn
Firedrake
Haha…this one really makes me want to laugh…and throw a ping pong ball at him :)
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
He’s probably saying “Oh no, here comes another ping pong ball” Firedrake!! Pleased it made you smile.
Phil Thomson IPA
Excellent, Work, Rosalie !!! Sharon’s right about the opera singer, but I don’t think he’ll replace Pavarotti quite yet, not the same build !!
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
You are right Phil- needs a few good roast chickens to build him up!! Thanks for the kind words.
Bill Fonseca
I really like your scream series Rosalie. Mind you, I had to look at it a few times to realise that it was yours. Well done. The clown one is my fav…awesome lighting.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Keeping you guessing Bill. Thanks for your visit buddy.
Maximus
Rosalie, who were you thinking of? :)
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Gee now you are opening a can of worms Max … no comment on the grounds that it may get me into hot water!!! Thanks for calling by.
olawunmi
There is so much personality in this that I want to keep staring at it to find out what is going on in his mind. You just might have unveiled a new cartoon character, Rosalie.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Oh dear Summayyah now we’ll have to think of a name for him. Thank you for your encouragement.
olawunmi
How about “Grumps” “Huh!” “Worrior” “Zipp”...I told you it had a lot of character!
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
:) I’m sure he’d be happy to answer to any of those names Summayyah
Dave Warren
This is brilliant
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Not sure why I love these clowns Dave, but I do – maybe I feel an affinity with them or something!!! Thank buddy.
GailD
Great PS Rosalie. He does not look happy. Too much attention?
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
He suited this treatment quite well I think – thanks Gail – too many kids poking ping pong balls down his throat maybe!
George Lenz
this is cool.. nice treatments
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Pleased you like it gemlenz
Kofoed
These are wonderful, Rosalie. I like your no. 2 far best (I have something with clowns). Again, your processing is exquisite.
Are they by any chance inspired by “The Scream” by the very famous (in Scandinavia, at least) painting by the Norwegian artist Edward Munch? This may be seen here:
http://bjornkelsen.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/skriget.jpg
This was dated 1893, was very valuable, and was stolen in 2004. It was delivered back in 2006, presumably because nobody dared to have it, but was damaged by moisture beyond restoration.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Kofoed I have seen Munch’s “Scream” a number of times, but didn’t consciously name these after him – maybe deeeeeep down it lingered on! Certainly that painting is amazing. Thanks for the kind words my friend.
pryere
This is fantastic, my fave of the pair. I agree with Sharon about the opera singer…..a very loud one.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Yeah I think I can hear him from here, John!!! THank you for the compliment and also the favouriting.
Elenne Boothe
Love this, so cool.
Rosalie Dale IPA
THanks Elenne – quite the handsome fellow isn’t he!
Per E. Gunnarsen
Cool, I like it!
Rosalie Dale IPA
Just a bit of fun! Thank you so much.
