Primeval Forest ~ B&W
Taken twelve months ago in the Blue Mountains, it is one of those ‘rescue’ jobs where I suspect black and white gives more character than the original colour version.

Well. Certainly nothing that needs ‘rescuing’ in this shot. B&W suits Rosalie.

nice shot , this works well, bigfoot is in there somewhere also

This forest also sports masses of the red and white mushrooms – ANYTHING could be lurking in there Rick! Thanks for the visit and encouragement my friend.

Character to spare, Rosie. That fern really stands out in B&W, so I suspect you are right on that score, as well. A beautiful capture and treatment.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
A little more treed than your Arizona / wild west shots!!! Thanks for the visit – so pleased you like it.

Neat B&W…Well done!!!

Ciao Rosalie!
The B&W – and other li’l tweakings – has created that sense of mystery that only B&W can do.
Perhaps some more work on contrast as on my monitor there are no real blacks in the image.
A scene made more interesting by your placement of the fern as a focal point and the light play.
Interesting viewing.

Thank you my friend – your wonderful Into the Mist No 2 was obviously my benchmark for this, but any tweaking of the contrast was giving an ‘artifacty’ look to the blacks. Back to the drawing board!
