Sharon Hammond
oooooh lovely work. Is this the Orton effect?
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Not Orton but it does have a little blur blended with Screen instead of Multiply Sharon. I can never stick to a tutorial – always have to mess around with it!!! Thanks for the encouragement.
Warren Williams
Like this one, the light has given you a great shot , colours are perfect. & the comp excellent.

Josie Jackson
Lovely angle Rosalie and I really love the light in this, smashing shot
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Between storms made for good light Josie – went around with a plastic bag to keep the camera dry!
GailD
Looks just great Rosalie. Fantastic processing.
My processing is never the same twice. A bit like my cooking.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
I think it was Ken Duncan who talked about scenes being like women – you need to visit them many times because they have many moods and each time you visit, you discover a new one! This was a ‘stormy and wet’ mood! The previous was ‘eary and misty’ !!!
handprintz
Great colours and treatment it looks like it is the deepest jungle !
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
They are actually some drought resistant plants around the “Australian House” in the local big park Trudi – it does come up well in this light. Thanks for the kind words

—-WOW I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE PHOTOGRAPHIC LEVEL IN THIS GROUP HAS TIERED TO A VERY HIGH PHOTOGRAPHIC QUEST!!!!Rosalie Dale IPA replied
I too think the DPFers have blossomed since getting out into ‘deep’ photographic waters Edwin! It is really challenging and uplifting being among such good artists. Thanks for the wonderful encouragement.
SandraRos
Absolutelly brilliant Your HDR photography is just way UP THERE !!!! These two photograph would be perfect in the group “Set of Two” they really compliment one another. Fantastic !!!
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thanks Sandra – I have submitted these to the Sets of Two group as you suggest – see how they go! They were processed differently (no 1 has no HDR and was taken in misty early light – no 2 was processed initially with HDR and was taken in stormy afternoon conditions) so they have a different look … however each has its appeal I feel. So glad you like them!
Kofoed
Ohh, Rosalie. This is so good. It’s lovely to wander around in this image. From the brilliant green foilage, the lovely lit tree to the right, the corrugated metal roof through to the moss on the wooden hut. It’s so alive, like being there myself. It’s all due to your excellent processing, of course.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
So pleased you find this one to your liking Keld – every single corrugation has had attention on this image – both Slab Hut images were finished similarly and took a few hours to complete. They were an exercise to see if the extra attention makes much difference. I suspect it does!!
debsphotos

Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Lois Bryan
Rosalie, this is absolutely spectacular!!!!! i noticed that you’ve entered in HDR … and I’ve got to tell you … that’s one tricky technique … but baby, when it’s right, it’s right!!! You truly nailed it!!! Glorious detail, color … everything that I love best!!!! Magic time, my girl!!!!!!! Into da fave box for sure!!!!!!!! MORE PLEASE!!!!!
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
There’s a lot of work goes into these images after the HDR is done as well Lois … I really appreciate your enthusiastic response – thank you! Makes it all worth while.

Ted Byrne
Your mastery of texture is such an interesting compositional element… It draws me through the plane plop onto a story arc. Wonder-filled, Rosalie! I’ve often felt that art without wonder is merely craft. Thanks for sharing.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
I love your use of the word ‘wonder’ on your website and in your profile – I think it is the word I have been looking for!!! I aim to make my shots story-tellers … if it doesn’t resonate with the viewer and evoke a story, I have failed. Having browsed your work, I am flattered and pleased that this has struck a chord with you.
Critical Vision
Brilliant capture – love the colours
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thanks Dave for the enthusiastic comment!!
Kofoed
Just read your answer to Gail. How right you and Mr. Duncan are…....
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Keld Ken Duncan% is a lovely, humble man – one of Australia’s most well known, spectacular, panoramic landscape photographers. It is encouraging to hear him speak actually and to know he struggles with similar issues, and is still discovering tricks of the trade (which he is always willing to pass along!).
LindaR
this has me pausing and surprised by the “pull” to linger and go deeper…old buildings are interesting but this is why I’m still here ~ it’s the light, texture and mystery you’ve created, the sense of wanting to see and know more ~ have the story revealed ~ even if it’s of my own making :) very well done and thank you for this moment xx
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thank YOU for the lovely words and favouriting Linda.
JudyBJ
so beautiful and great colors
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thanks so much Judy
Taschja Hattingh
This looks like a great ‘find’ love to hear the story behind the hut…?
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Taschja it is actually part of a large theme park near here – but I am thinking it could have been a reconstructed hut as it looks so authentic – am wondering if they brought it in from somewhere else.
Ben Pacificar
