A brief stop on the way to Minnamurra Falls in the Budderoo National Park (about 15 mks inland from Kiama on the South Coast of NSW – Australia) yielded this very unusual scene – with cool rain and mist following on from the 40 degree days previously, it was almost like being suddenly transported to England!

RD, I hope you brought the dry stone wall home… love those. :)

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

At least in the Kangaroo Valley area there are a few of these Max – not our normal fence!!!

Rosalie I am Breathless, I dont know if this has a TS effect or its just your DOF control but this piece has blown me away . I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

This was a bit of a struggle Dan – firstly it was heavy rainy mist so the camera and lens were constantly spotted, secondly it was quite low light and I didn’t want to lower the shutter speed too much as it was hand held – so all in all I’m pleased with the way it turned out! 80% of this is real, with a little bit of PS work to isolate the tree and fence a little. Thanks heaps for the favouriting my friend.

A stunning shot Rosalie. It looks like it could have been taken in Warwickshire

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

The area extends south west from here and is known as the Southern Highlands – our little bit of Scotland I guess, which is sorta next door to you – almost!!! Thanks so much for adding this to your favs.

Pure Excellence, Rosalie !!! An incredible soft, romantic, dreamy almost surreal atmosphere that could be mistaken for an English countryside or somewhere in Tassie !!!

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

Well I’ll have to go visit Tassie I think – I love these stone walls. Thanks for the favouriting Phil – much appreciated.

I’m hating RB at the moment…lol…my long comment just vanished into the nether regions as they are wont to do sometimes. Absolutely love this Rosalie – that wonderful low stone wall in the meadow really does remind one of English countryside and your color and composition here is simply gorgeous. Love the soft focus (I’m sure the mist has something to do with that) and the lushness of the scene too.

  • Rosalie Dale IPA replied

I can understand – I’m finding doubles of everything in my activity monitor and it is a bit of a pain! Gremlins in their system … !!! Thanks for the wonderful encouragement my friend. You are kind.
