This is a wonderfully restored Bedford truck we found at the Maroota Muster on the weekend (Maroota is on the way to Wiseman’s Ferry, rural north fringes of Sydney Australia).

    I made a bit of a chore of this Phil – Started to extract it to a black background to get rid of clutter, then realised I needed to deal with the windows as well! That was a bit of a fiddle – but it was worth it. Thanks for the in depth comment my friend.

    G’day Rosalie,

    A very fine presentation of this old workhorse.
    Your use of light is extremely good, your angle of shot has rendered a great perspective, your focus is nice and crisp and your depth of field encompasses the whole vehicle.
    Even though it has a “flat tyre” ;-) this is a remarkable study of one of Australia’s historical vehicles.
    Good work that girl!

    I’m sure you realise the ‘flat’ tyre was my cop-out when it came to isolating the vehicle Dennis – very difficult getting a neat rounded edge where the grass was inconveniently impinging on the image!!! Thank you so much for the favouriting and the kind words – the glarey day had me believing this was not going to turn out too well so I was reasonably pleased with the outcome. :)

    Hey Nigel – would have to go look up the exif but I suspect this was shutter priority, and my camera doesn’t go that high – it would have been a default fstop … sometimes I fluke it! Thanks for the encouragement.
