Following on from The Rose ~ 1, I’ve tried a different process (also different view and using my P&S camera this time!) hopefully giving the more faded appearance.

    So soft and beautiful and very well put together (I can see where your daughter gets her creativity from so easily).

    The textures on the sheet music go so well with the soft roses and their eliquent shadows and the sax (is it a sax) along the top frames it all really well too.

    Glad you like it Gail – I ended up putting a saved sketch version of this over a coloured version, blending, and (after much agonizing!) this was the result.

    G’day Rosalie!! One can almost hear the gentle flowing notes of this song being played by the lilting flute. Very evocative. You’ve hit the right combination of tones and the compositions of the song and the picture tug at the heartstrings. :)george

    Gilberte you are such an encourager! Please do go ahead and shoot your version of this – we all do things differently and it is wonderful to learn from each other. I so much admire your ‘les feuilles mortes’ ... wonderful work. The font is not in Photoshop but is Scriptina which is available from the internet. Bubble me if you need more information!! xxx

    Hi Sue. Thanks for the kind words – this is done in Photoshop (CS3) with a couple of hours of ‘whoops’ and ‘I think I’ll try this’ type processing. Trouble is this way one doesn’t always know when the inmage is done – and I’m always of 2 minds as I put it up! So pleased you like it, lovely lady.
