Anticipation . . .
Another shot from the Steam Train Museum at Thirlmere in the Southern Highlands of NSW (Australia) ... I could not escape the ‘feel’ of the 1920’s, so I added an ethereal Flapper, some film grain, and effects to hopefully suggest a byegone era.
Still feeling my way with these special effects so all constructive suggestions gratefully received!!

Stunning Rosalie, just love the colours and the lady in the carriage. Really takes you back in time. You could always use the capture of Bill in his Al costume for the prisoner. lol.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Hmmmm Bill is out our way tomorrow – but I doubt he’ll be in the right costume for what I need!!! Thanks Noelene for the kind words.

Actually, I think Rosalie is getting her creative flare from Sarah…....lol. Both excellent artists and Rosalie, this image is no exception. You did a fine job with this. While viewing this, there is no question of the “bygone” suggestion. Nice work.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
I think you are right Theresa – scrambling to absorb a bit of Sarah’s genius! Pleased you like it my friend.

wonderful look and feel to this, the tones/colors are nostalgic and it would make a very nice poster, or perhaps for someones theater room, it would look wonderful hung up on thier wall :) great job

To be honest Rosalie, I can’t think why you were not on my Watchlist, I have admired your work for ages. Now at least, I will not have an excuse for missing your work …
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
You are a legend Tom – I am a fan of yours also, but knowing RB is so large with sooooo much great art, I realise we can’t all be on everyone’s site all the time! I keep an eye on you even if I don’t always comment! Thanks so much for all the encouragement.

Priceless image. Photos like this remind me of an era that speaks of simplicity in contrast to the hussle and bussle of today. There’s a quietness about it. Great shot, Rosalie.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
John you are right – I am sure the appeal is the gracious simplicity of the era – not the comfort!!! I am flattered that you favourited this – thank you!
George Petrovsky
G’day Rosalie! Crikey – it’s been a few years since I’ve seen an etherial Flapper! Is she anticipating a journey of intrigue, romance and adventure? And the famous Railway Pies? Full steam ahead !!! Once again, a magnificent work of Art, and quite possibly the most appealing (to me) of the Olde Worlde Railways series, which you must submit to the Railway Museum! :)george
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
I have never seen a flapper let alone an ethereal one George – does that say something?! It just seemed the image was a bit boring so I scratched around for something to add interest – maybe I could have found a sign for those pies instead!!!
Kathie Nichols
Fabulous work Rosalie, very creative ! :)
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Pleased you like it Kathie – thank you
Louise Cooke
