Ladies in waiting
Some classy fishing boats resting at Nelson Bay Marina (on the beautiful mid north coast of NSW), taken in March 08. While the original colour version was attractive, I thought the high contrasts may create a reasonable mono … venturing out of my comfort zone a bit with B&W!!!

I’m sure the colour version would have been superb as well, but here, you have created a fine work of art. And it probably only took a few minutes, eh? :)george

Thanks Gail – tried out the CS3 black and white converter then manually fiddled the settings – also used ‘find edges’ filter.

What has caught my eye here is the perspetive, Rosalie. This has been framed so well that it makes every observer standstill. Reflection is just perfect and selcecting this composition in B & W is icing on top.
