Persistence
I find it hard to believe that the mushroom actually pushed the iron off the ground, but it makes a great image! Found in the pine forest at Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains Australia a few weeks ago.

I know of people who wear a miner’s helmets with lights attached when seriously shooting shrooms Max – I wasn’t that keen (or prepared!!) so made do with a little ‘darkroom’ help here!

Hey Dan – this was my first proper spotting of these mushrooms – not commonly found around here, so I was beside myself trying to get them all as best I could … couldn’t resist this particular scenario! Thanks my friend.
Rosalie Dale IPA in reply to Daniel Fitzgerald’s comment, 2 months ago
Thanks Daniel – isn’t the diversity of this site great – I shoot the little mushrooms and you catch the huge lightening vistas!! Great to share the different aspects of nature. I do appreciate your visit.

Hey Krys – will have to see if I can find a fairy for this one maybe!
Krys Bailey, 2 months ago
Hahaha! That would be perfect, Rosalie! ;o)
Rosalie Dale IPA in reply to Krys Bailey’s comment, 2 months ago
Trouble is find the right sort of fairy! Any that hang out with red mushrooms are likely to be a bit strange methinks!!!
Krys Bailey, 2 months ago
Hmmm … you have a point there! Perhaps an elf might be more agreeable! ;o)

Rosalie Dale IPA in reply to Ahmad Sabra’s comment, 2 months ago
Ahmad it was an accidental finding!! We stopped to shoot the misty pine forest, and also found masses of these mushrooms. Because I like rust, went to take a pic of this sheet of old iron, and found a hidden treasure! You never know what is going to pop up!
Rosalie Dale IPA in reply to julie08’s comment, 2 months ago
Julie- thank you, much appreciated.

You can get arrested for going out dead of night looking for SOME mushrooms … Although I think this one was worth the risk for a picture like that.
