Lovely, as usual.
Re how to get the correct lighting on a pasted figure: as you’ve probably already worked out, playing with the layer’s opacity and blend mode is the quick way. There’s a Photoshop filter called AKVIS Chameleon which is a more specialised tool: here’s the web page.

Thanks for the link Jason – that will be a great help – I’m ok with blending and opacity but I just wanted to have light coming from the right direction and looking brighter on one side of the figure than the other etc … I do appreciate the constructive helpl!!! :)
