Primeval Forest
This pine forest really felt very primeval today with a super growth of lichen on the trees, and the mist rolling in. I liked the contrast that the fresh fern provided in this image. Taken near Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains area of NSW (Australia).

Wonderful, it reminds me of Spain, I can almost smell it.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Thanks John – certainly the pine needles were a thick soft carpet and very pungent. There also were heaps of red mushrooms with white spots … it was such a great find!

Nature untouched and presented in here in wonderful light and colour. What is it with that colour i like so much. I only noticed this colour just recently through your work and have to say its a beautyful colour, thanks for introducing me to a new colour, and for getting me away from greens and blues for a while lol :)x
Awsome, take care!
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
Stevie this colour just seems to go hand in hand with the mists at the moment! Pleased you like it my friend.

Where do you buy that light?, I want some, it’s not fair LOL, .
I love it Rosalie.
Beautiful again.
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
I keep telling you, come and visit Jason!!! Actually I see hints of these hues in your photos also my friend … I think it has something to do with mist / fog / rain as much as anything, and a little tweak in CS3. I’m still trying to thaw out after having soggy wet feet and jean for 8 hours!

Will Barton
Great shot Rosalie! I’ve never really ventured down there with a camer, but after seeing some of the stuff you’ve brought back I think I’ll have to!
Rosalie Dale IPA replied
It is very much worth it Will – some of the gullies absolutely covered in various ferns on the walk down are stunning … and roadside on the drive down you go through the pine forest, the grey gum forest (didn’t get to stop there!) etc as you’d well know … could spend days in the area!! Just watch out for large trucks driving the other way!
SharonD
Great shot Rosalie,is Sarah going to use this one.

Thanks Gail – most were taken with Sarah in mind but whether they fit the need is another thing! It was just a stunning spot with the mist rolling in and out.
