-Heaven….a creation of my own. All photographs taken by myself.Halo of light is made with some Photoshop filters. In essence is really simple. All in my head._

This is dedicated to all the mothers of the world that have lost a child, either by death or along the days of their changing womanship. Though it has a religious contain, it means much more for me.
It is suspending for a while, the impetus of creativity, and pausing the cycles of Life, and above all, fills me with compassion and awe towards all the mothers…since the world is a world.
(Please…see it larger to contemplate the beauty of the figures…I love them)

Bleeding Night.
Light is bleeding.
Bleeding Mother.
Stars are bleeding,
the spilled milk….
of lost children..
in bleeding.
How heavy the crown,
of frozen pieces of Heaven.
How quiet the Flesh…
waxing pores never melting,
inside the cage of a shroud.
My angels…sweet suspension,
at the feet of the Soul Life.
The Mother’s Womb,
containing the seed of dying Love.
An even trembling of fear.
Gods…!!!
How hard is to smile at a loss.
letting the rosary’s beads,
count the tired beats…
of my heaving core.
He is there….my Son,
a lost Man, born to die alone,
leading my pathway of Truth.
An avatar of the Lingam pure,
just laying there as the HumbleSoil.
While my magnificence Creation,
is defying the pureness of Darkness
just to burst out of a magma of Faith,
and making all the creatures of Heaven,
be born…again and again.
Hold me in your eyes,
as long as your breath will be silenced.
And then….wait for the tide,
of a sea made out of tears raging.

This goes far beyond religion. Its a very deep concept you’ve put down here and it took me a minute to realize just how deep. I thought at first universal, and look again to find the universe as a solid platform for the rest, stating intentions boldly. The woman is definitely regal and radiates love and passion. She keeps all her considerable sorrow in a very small part of the work, her face and especially her eyes.
The man/boy is jesus, there’s no getting away from that. I mostly believe but am not completely sure that jesus one of a long line of guys who had strikingly similar stories. (Dionysus, Bacchus, Osiris, Horus,Tammuz, Odin, Adonis) And this is a universal concept too, “that guy” as I would speak of him conversationally. That’s one of the best things you can make into your art, the divine (or whatever it is)
And the main theme, mothers of the world that have lost a child well I’ll never understand that completely, it is thoroughly tragic but you’ve made some good of it tonight.

  • Hi Simon!
Your mind sharp as usual. Your feelings outspreading but not overwhelming or disquieting..difficult to balance heart-mind, really.
I agree with you Jesus….from the biguining to the end of his divine and human figure is not “new”…it has been made reborn once and again, following a pattern of symbolism and needs. As far as I remember Osiris was alde dismembered…and this dismembering constituted a cult for the followers during many a time.. Jesus was not dismembered but has been “minced” and the christians are “eating his bits and drinking his drops”..for the same reason. There is a true “animism” in all this. Other cults use to eat their enemies..the heart….in special.
    What here?
Following my instinct..being impressed by the figures, once you visit a local church and being stunned by their beauty and their grip on my heart…then the image has really popped out of myself. Completely new….as something done from another realms.
And what have I found…bewilderement…yes. I swear…I have found the synthesis of a real taoist philosophical background..what it seems to be yang becomes ying…circling along Life. Jesus is lying there dead but it makes me to recall “The Sleeping Beauty”, quintessence of the sleeping Anima…and the Virgin Mary (mind her station!!) is there upright and absolutely Yang, even surrounded with a halo of a fallus in perfect and irrigated erection. The image is more than I could resist. It is a not an inversión of the realities it is Reality in its whole meaning. History is not what we tell either in speeches, forums or books..nothing to do with a real complete vision, multidimensional as we should have learnt since children.
And what else…? the extreme quietness…just in appereance….
Life for bringing Life out of this quietness….is there..upright and down lying….perfection is understanding the inversión of our beings, which is not capzising them…
Thanks a lot…hope this will serve you. As for the mothers….well..
may be being a woman could help. It is a metaphor and a reality.
It is hard to feel one is a vessel of Life and Death. I wonder…if that is the reason , the real reason of so much embitterment and abuse for the real energy of the woman´s body and soul. Mind..men are there to feel it..to have it. Respect for the Anima….loving, caring her in any man.
    A hug

Rosa, How beautiful and unusual your tribute to motherhood is. I see how the rectangular “box” around the “child” could be the metal around a hospital bed. So I think you have effectively illustrated the human and the Divine in this image.
    it is beautiful

  • Thanl you so much. Yes…I know that this could be a cradle….of a new born baby…bound to death. I know that it is a protective, coffin of glory..and all we can do is to touch him with our heart.
I have loved your point of view..is sensible and thoughtful.
    Many many thanks
    Rosa

the utopian dream mother as the fullness of love and care and yes unselfish giving sadly the new age is another story== amen
  • Thank you so much. Hope that we will never loose this bond to reality…where Mother and Son are more than two figures of an story…or a play..but a whole being…manifested.
    A hug.
