Alien...EnragedShadow
This is a hommage to the animic and graphic creator of the most fascinating represention of the raging human "shadow",
H. R. Giger.
Anexed….the incredible "trailer" of the Ridley Scott’s enthrilling motion picture, ALIEN. The archetypal imaginery is eternal as Mankind and it works in this film as definitevely battle between the individual soul and her devilish and "shadow" inner creation. The work has been created with a macro photograph of an Alien’s kit model that had formerly been assembied and painted by Samuel Gibert (my youngest son), a piece we really all love at home.
See the trailer
We worship what we love…
as much as what we hate.
Kindled poison bubbling in acid blood.
Blind to reasoning,
uneeded of,
the darting tongue,
sheathed by osbcure vices,
named hatred,
venim spoiled milk,
that once run out of our dried mouths,
without satisfying our hunger and thirst.
Words that cut the heart into small pieces,
made them be crushed by a fire,
lethal fire of lacking love.
Vengeance….
submitted desires,
frustrated intentions,
for getting near the Gods.
Pilgrimmage kept roaring,
fuelled slowly in the crystalized corridors
of the fear of dying.
Not a tear will be shared with you,
either of passion or belevolence..
not doubt…
no questions….
no hopes…
nor space between the sick ego,
and the object of the attack.
Is not a bloody birthing,
babtized in tears of pain and bliss.
It is the hidden Soul,
in despair,
eating the mirror of passion
that thrown to the void’s dungeons,
will smash with fury against anything…
that could see in its reflection

Es increíble la imagen que has logrado…
Asusta, y sin embargo puedo reconocerme…. en estos dás más que nunca…
Alma escondida, desesperada, smashing with fury… reflejos…
Tiene una fuerza y una viscosidad demencial…

Uno no acostumbra a verse el alma así…
Será la religiosidad que siempre la ha impregnado de belleza y corrección…

Alien is my favourite movie, Rosa, and i love H.R Giger’s fearless portrayal of the human shadow. He is a huge influence. I’m pleased we share this particular thing … my son would love to mahe a model like this :-)
RosaCobos replied
So glad….
Many see it as a disgusting thing. A creature meant to scare and tha’s all..
I beleive that it is too much more. As the fairy tales all full of deaths and terror in themselves…
Thanks a lot for your kidness and companionship.

I am a true fan of the Alien movies and H. R. Giger’s tremendously dark art. Your words are great insight into this dark world. We worship what we love as much as what we hate, that says so very much to me. Again you have created a totally engaging written piece, congrats

Oh my… this image makes me sad more than scared… like it is a symbolic reminder of a part of myself that I wish didn’t exist. Shadows… rage… devouring. I also found the quote above very thought provoking “we worship what we love as much as what we hate”. Have never thought that before and how true it is!!

If you would not wish your shadow to disseapear then… it would be turned into a mask…. those terrifying Bali’s masks that are presiding the balainese people’s home.. and that in some way make the children acquaintenced with the “demons”.... I am glad that I have made you think…
And thank you so much for telling it to me
