Knitting days… seconds and seasons..
Kniting dreams of warmth and eros..
Knitting promises and caressess…
threaded with whispers of Love..
Penelope…
invisible knitting..
unknitted before..
she started to wait..
for her male.. for her soul.

Along the railroad..
rushes Life..
invisible..strong..
she does not care…
she is knitting words untold..
“My lover…
My shadow…
scented… like the trees..
under the storm..
i feel him.
she will get.. back. to me…
when i´ll finish my work..
of thousand years..
minutes…seconds…
sparkles of wisdom…
inside my..
womb.”

Wow! Very poetic blend of images!! And a very romantic poem to go with it…

Excellent blend of images. Like the poem too Rosa. I guess this is an image that we all relate too very strongly. Time passes and we get old waiting for things to happen, for people to fulfil what we think is missing in our lives. All that often happens, is we get old and miss out on other things happening around us. Perhaps we need to make the most of every minute we have, good or bad.

    Very wise words….really..
I have all all tatooed in my heart.
What happens is .. that we do not turn our moments into a ritual.
Penelope´s actions for Life are… just.. wait.. patienttly but not idolently.
She is there.. breathing Life thourgh her knitting… as we breath Life through our lungs.
I am a Yoga teacher and one of the things that I try to “insuflate” into the students is to be consciousness enough as making each movement each reptetition of actions as if it would the only and unique one.
This is diccifult for we tire of them.. of everthing and anxiety creeps inside… so quickly .. but we must assume that it is also very natural for an organism to go along… to change.. not to think about things… but be a flooding instrument of Life.
We are humans…. and think… sometimes a Torment… anothers an Extasis.
Thanks a lot for your sharing.

    Rosa . . . WOW
With this image you’ve managed to bend the bands of time.
You are quite the poetic enchantress and weaver of dreams.
This combination is fantastical, magical and wondrous.
I love the perspective and splash of colors against
    the desaturated portrait Penelope knitting.
    Brilliant blending of images!

More than happy by your hearty comment, Jaeda… (by the way .. you name is beautiful… it sparkles as a jewel)
I fell happy or… you see.. the most normal hing when one wish to give an enchanting ambiance to some picture or work of art is trying to place it in a wood… near the elements… being water, sand, forests.. mountians… skies…
and mine… is suburban… not just urban… but suburban…. sitting at the subway station…. doing “her Opus”... And no one had ever told me that this was enchanting and dreamy.. though I felt it like it.
The train the station… the woman.. the clock all are real… and taken in different times… but real.. and the whole image is an act of “re-membering” what is happening inside ourselves.. what is happening in the narrations of Mankind… the guides to ourself-realization.
    Thanks a lot Jaeda…

Love the combination of images; monochrome vs. color, stillnes vs, speed, the clock that tells time vs. the train that is moving through time.

Rosa I am so taken with this…and with your wonderful poem. It speaks of all of our lives…days hours minutes every second we are who we are….and it is all knitted together, our time, our existence our relationships. You have a beautiful mind, my friend.

This picture really moves me. Not only is it a universal sensation that we all feel. I see this as a journey through time itself. The lady could easily be from the early 20th Century and a modern train rushing through time…. Reading other peoples comments now, I see how it touches so many people. Thank you Rosa – really wonderful!
