You’ll find many of my poems are very short. I enjoy the challenge of condensing large concepts and complex ideas into the shortest possible poem. It’s like a good left hook; stops you right in your tracks when you read a short poem that perfectly encapsulates its subject.
Not everything I write is 30 words or less though ;) Duality, symbolism and metaphor in writing has fascinated me since I was a kid, and whenever I’m able to create something that can be interpreted in more than one way, I feel immense satsfaction, no matter the length of the piece.
I have not been able to write much for quite a long time. I’ve been trying to change that recently and just by luck someone pointed out this site to me today. I couldn’t pass up the inspiration :)
