A hoverfly enjoying a sip of nectar from a wild oxeye daisy in northern Kentucky.
The Oxeye daisy is an introduced plant from Europe.It is a very common wildflower in open areas in Kentucky It is considered a noxious weed. Non the less, it is still an attractive wilflower.
My name is Ron Russell. I have lived in Newport, Kentucky since 1986.
My interest in photography as a hobby goes back to a Minolta camera I found in 1974.I love digital photgraphy because of the freedom it gives me to shoot whatever whenever I want. My Canon SX40 HS is a constant companion.
