HaigaInk and Haiku with leather colouring
haiga, haiku ink art, ron moss
this is very beautiful Ron, both the Haiku and your very lyrical interpretation.
Thanks very much Judith, I so happy you enjoyed the connections!

I really love these Ron.
Hey thanks very much, I’m pleased you enjoy haiku and art :-)
Excellent and very beautiful . Elegant presentation and subtile use of ink .What is leather coloring and what sort of paper are you using here ? Sorry for disturbing you with my questions and thank you for a answer.
Thanks very much for your great comment. The leather background is from a 150yr old book that I scanned and it gives a little texture and the lovely colour. The ink was done on plain catridge paper. The composition comes from varying the blending modes in CS4. The bottom image is from a watercolour on arches paper. Thank you for asking :-)
Fabulous work Ron….what is leather colouring?…do you mean the colour of leather or is there a medium I don’t know about?
Thanks Janis, yes it is the colour and texture of very old scanned leather…the mode of it is blended slightly which brings out the colour more, so in a way I have coloured it through a process in CS4. :-)
Cheers for that :-)
I have painted paper and wood to look like old leather and fooled people who saw the pieces in person into thinking it was real leather……maybe one day I’ll learn it this way too..
