    I like it…did you superimpose your painting on another surface to achieve the effect? … it looks great…

  • sort of :) the wonderful thing about photoshop it allows you to work in layers, adding more things on top and then you make the layers react differently to each other. This has a strong red texture behind the watercolours and the layers are what they call ‘hard light’ which strengthens the colour to make it more ink- like which I really love. It is all hand painted but the elements have been brought together in a impressionalistic way using mixed media…Thanks Janis :-)

    I am still trying to get my head around PS…I look and it makes no sense to me especially the layering …maybe one day…

  • Yes it is the kind of beast that you need to work with it, to understand it..the best way of explaining layers is to think of stacking soem paintings one on top of each othe,r and then shining a very stong light from beneath it so you can see bits of the images.
