Digital collage. More in a series from a favorite collage. I wanted to say a little more about the oil crisis with this one. Various layers of texture and hand colouring with introduced elements for the composition. From my own photographs and loving built in CS4 to a size of A3

Your work has really prompted me to get to grips with textures. Just an idea but I reckon you should do a little ditty on how you do this stuff. Sitting through yet another Lynda.com video fills me with terror!! Magnificent job here mate, the colours, the mood that grungy feel and the relevance to our world today. Marvelous, bravo, bravo!
Many thanks Richard for such great comments and encouragement. What I do keeps growing and I’m having such a ball at the moment. I would like to get something down soon as there is not a lot out there and it is great to share. The main thing is I found out what I liked in the way of alternative photgraphic processing and then picked it apart until I could do it in the digital medium. Creating and collecting interesting textures is the way to go, and because I come from a painting background the eye for colour and composition helps.
We really are in a fantastic time of merging all the mediums of expression together.

Captivating Ron.
Hey thanks Peter, the beady eye of the crow does it for me.

I too would love to know your process, even though I don’t do digital work…I like to learn…this is a fabulous composition Ron…I love the addition of the bird…says so much…
Thanks very much Janis. You have the painter’s eye and once the skills are learned in the software all things are possible. I will work towards getting some information down soon.
