The Tatung or shaman perform their ability during Chap Goh Mei festival in Indonesia.

Shaman (Chinese: Wu 巫; pinyin: wū; Wade-Giles: wu; literally “shaman”) are spirit mediums who have practiced divination, prayer, sacrifice, rainmaking, and healing in Chinese traditions dating back over 3,000 years.
Chap Goh Mei or Chap Goh Meh or Cap Goh Meh or Tzap Goh Mei (Chinese: 十五暝; pinyin: shí wǔ míng; literally “fifteen night”) as they are fondly called, referred to the same fifteenth and final day of the Lunar New Year festival celebrated by Chinese migrant communities mainly in South East Asia countries i.e. Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines
