Human Time and Geologic Time collide in the High Desert. This painting was inspired by the Wyoming landscape. Here civilization is so thin, so puny and precarious, one tries to find a human sense within the mute buttes that stare like sphinxes. Rocks preside through the the incomprehensible gulfs of time. How will the works of Man (these rusting hulks of cars in the foreground) be viewed in a million years. Or will they be viewed?
