how tall is the writing on the wall

how tall is the wall?
graffiti raiding the fridge
the magnets hanging from the door

in shadows and daylight
ignore it you might
but they shout out
big letters in fright

whispers the stone
the spray-can groans
teenage angst too late that has flown

by night
gone already
washed by the daylight rain
paint flowed down

of the words out there unspoken
unwritten
the ones we are trying hard to ignore
they are tall

how tall is the writing on the wall
