All About Your Best Work, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and WMGColour burst upon my tongue and made my head swim
I thought I had known what purple was all about till I tasted it
Orange was already a flavour but here its zest had I again to test
White was sublime like drinking wine and red was blood as it should
Why I had eaten the sky that day I did not no but more colours were to flow
Like slaughtered soldiers in a field I ate gold, cream and tangerine
I followed that with greens and blues which made me weep a peep
Yellow was not like butter but melted sun on bread like honey run
Tonight I´ll dine on silver and deep blue with moon biscuits to chew
I have had my way with the day and come what may, I am
Maybe you wonder why it’s so that colours come and colours go
I ponder not but move on, ravenous, darkness, light swallower I am

Really great work Philip! I like the unexpected “melted sun on bread like honey run”. What a wonderful romp through the senses of sight and taste. Delicious! :-) xxMeg

All smiles Philip. After my heart, a girl with a box of pastels at her fingertips. As a matter of fact, may I use it on my Myspace for pastel artists? They’ll eat it up! ~ Alice

Philip – I love this! I agree with Meg—“melted sun on bread like honey run” is a fantastic line! I feel like I can practically taste the colors myself. Great write!—A
