A portrait of Damo,
cerca October or November 1995 where he borrowed my (dyed black) Irish Army Dress coat and became his hero James Dean. He knew Jimmy Dean in his heart and he was perfectly at home in front of the camera. He was not trying to re-create an existing portrait but create his own. I just took the picture. I overburnt the print but now I feel that this picture remains the way it was then, scratches, stains and all.
A great deep voice, the Radio DJ of DJ’s and huge potential as an artist.
In memory of Damien 1971-1996
