Spanish town of Valdemossa in Mallorca
Nestled in Tramuntana mountain range of Mallorca largest island of the Balearics and incredibly popular holiday destination spot lies the town of Valdemossa. The main part of the town is above this section which is from where I took the picture. Its streets are filled with oranges and it was here that Frederik Chopin and his lover George Sands spent part of their Winter in Majorca of which Sands wrote the book of the same name.
Mallorca has been trying to change its image of sun, sea, sand & sex unsuccesfully for some time but there are a multitude of cultural and sporting events on the island that run through the winter time so you can spend your own winter in Mallorca.
