Thanks, Keith. Regrettably, I spent too much time at the overlook just above the cliff dwelling trying to find a good way to photograph it into the rising sun that by the time I found a good spot to photograph it from across the canyon, the sun had risen far enough to brightly light the trees in the foreground. I’ll know better next time! We purposely stayed in the Lodge so as to get up bright and early to photograph some of the wonderful structures. In the past, for some reason, on every visit, we always seemed to arrive just at sundown and the light was almost too dim to get a good shot. If I ever get rich enough to retire, I might spend a few days there and write a photographer’s guide so as to tell people where to be to get the best light.
