One path to the concession stand at the swimming pool at Abilene State Park, just outside of Buffalo Gap, Texas. This scene is significant simply because it has changed little since the first time I visited which was nearly a half-decade ago. The red sandstone of the structure stands up well. Original park construction was done by the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) in the early 1930’s.
