So, a block or two away, John F. Kennedy gets assassinated and the City of Dallas, or some entity, built this memorial. Pretty plain inside and out. I used to office in an old building just behind the building to the one just to the left of the memorial. The lot just next to it, also just behind the same building is a parking lot that was created after another building was torn down. That leaves a plain brick wall exposed to the street. My boss at the time was a part owner of the building and I asked if it would be alright to paint a mural to tribute JFK on that building side. He said he could probably get the OK if I was able to raise the money to have it painted. Of course, as luck would have it, within a week or so, I found a much better job in another location, so my project went nowhere.
