A wonderful find for me was this early model of a bicycle. Although I have seen several of this type in movies, I had never before encountered a close-up inspection. Another of the historical artifacts to be seen at the Heritage Village in Woodville, Texas.

I think penny-farthing bicycles were so cool. I don’t think they’d be very comfortable to ride, though, or easy to learn to ride for that matter!

  • I agree. They are easier to observe that suspect they are to ride.

What a wonderful example of the Penny Farthing. Today we usually only see them in parades, nicely captured…Jules

  • Thanks, Jules. I never knew there was a certain term to call them other than antique!
