Excellent Terence, love the reflections and depth to the sky and mountains in the distance! A favourite.

  • I waited forever for the water to still after a boat wake! I was very please with the results!

This is really beautiful! The colors look so much better than the other Lake MacDonald photos I’ve seen. Did you take this photograph out on the lake or by the lodge?

  • I was actually sitting in a chair right on the water’s edge near the lodge. We had a nice cabin, but without a water view!

    – Terence Russell

  • The colors were probably due to the light. I started sitting on the edge of the lake about 30 minutes before sunset, had my tripod set up, the scene set up, and just took a shot about every 2 or 3 minutes. I have another taken just after the sun fell with really deep blues, then another I took just before sunrise with really pale blue tones.
