Why belt out groans
when your mind
is in a muted place,
stirring indifference,
melting down nothings
to fool yourself.
You pick a scent
that vibrates
then wear it in a closet,
only to mix it
with stale, frozen
hand made hang-ups.
Substance of choice
is a pensive voice
spoken with a smirk,
void of warmth,
delivered in bursts
between walls of ice.
Straddling fences
like partners unpleased
is habit sadly held onto.
climb or fall
shine or drown
pick your lot and face it.
Dodge another truth
trip on another lie
steal an idle title
run to your throne
you made for yourself
and sit on it alone.

It is sad to see some people without a passion,
without the ability to give a damn about life,
to plod along in a melancholy existence.

Well I am almost speechless…almost…lol My goodness my friend, don’t be shy or anything, go on and spit it out..:O) I love the direct approach here..leaves no doubt or wonder of the meaning. Don’t forget that Straddling that fence gets pretty uncomfortable too…..:(... Dry spell?...NOT! Bravo!
