Many things to see, fun it would be
lunching under a canopy
Sweet it would be, to spend a day with you
All colors hue
In the trees of green, blue sky that’s seen
In a garden of flowers so pristine
It would be great, just to see your face
We’d watch the sun set, there’s no regret
Taking pictures so we won’t forget
Oh what a way, to spend the day with you
I love the view
Of your long brown hair, for this I care
You’d give a smile to say you like my stare

When Anna had come here from Australia Rog we had spent an entire day in Newburyport Mass walking amid the masses and just rummaging through all the lovely shops, etc.
It was a day that I will never forget. I had in fact written a poem very similar to the one you wrote here. I entitled it, “Our day in the sun.”
Thank you my friend for bringing me back to that time and place. Man it sort of feels good, but it sort of hurts as well, but it is the hurt that assures me that I truly and indeed loved Anna very much.

Steve – I know man – I guess if it’s never hurt, it’s never quite appreciated properly. Friendships could be the same way. But then again, a chance to hang out with a good friend for a day is a great thing, another stone in the wall of friendship.
