Just Thinking Of Her

The sun always seems a little
Brighter when you are near
The golden rays that penetrate
Seems to melt the fear
That my life will be empty and
meaningless as it was before

The old golden trees that were
once breathing for Spring
Are now full and green
As if wanting to sing
Surely they must feel
The same Inside as I now do

My heart is full and ready
To burst with love
And as the sun sets
The stars rise above
To remind me of this feeling
Which has so stirred me

Just Thinking Of Her

Artist's Description

OK my friends….believe it or not….
This is the very first poem I ever wrote in my entire life.
Was a long time ago and written to Liz, ( the girl in
“Like Leaves We Touched” ). When I gave it to her,
it was the clincher, she was mine. Kind of mushy,
but us guys can become so…. for the right girl!
