Walking now, hand in hand, fingers caressing
A friendship found, higher sound, so intriguing
Days went by, trusting lives, souls shared so revealing
Like leaves we touched, we felt
Our hearts joined in giving

We were young, so in love
The days were spent, feeling, exploring
First a kiss, then a touch, first for both
So right it was, afterward, just holding
Pledges made and were kept, a future bright

Then one day, so sadly it came
A sickness found you, would it take you
Three summers long, our love had grown
