Sending A Letter by Roger Sampson

Sending A Letter

An oil painting on wood. No, I did not paint this,
was painted by a friend of my mother’s some years
ago and given to me as a present. It is a letter box
and a treasure of mine.

Sending A Letter belongs to the following groups:

Bits and Pieces , Childhood, Happy Haven and Vibrant and Vivid Color

    Dearest Rog,

Please don’t fret – I know you are a man of honour; I now view this as a collaboration and a tribute to a wonderful artist and photographer.

    Much care XO

I wonder why the milk can is not being used as a letter box?

Then upon getting the return letter from her friend, this cute little girl’s arm wouldn’t be long enough to reach to the bottom of the milk can to retrieve it! Besides, I’m sure the mailbox post broke years before and this was quite a handy solution to the problem :>) Thanks for checking it out – Rog

So very sweet, the mailbox looks as if it is made of those things used to churn butter. I can see why it’s very special, because it’s so personal and thoughtful.
