Like Night and Day - The Video

Posted about 1 month ago

By night, the city comes alive with colour, bright lights and noise. Largely fuelled by alcohol, hordes flood the streets while others prefer the cover of darkness. In response to increasingly chaotic and animalistic behaviour, emergency services and cleaners are on hand like a fluorescent army of peace-keepers.

The light of day counterpoints that which came to pass overnight, bringing a ba…

399 Ways to Get Some Wall Art Up Ya

Posted 3 months ago

If you’ve been watching my Photo of the Day series and idly contemplated some wall art, now might be a good time to cash in. Until August 27th, Redbubble (who host my portfolio) are taking 15% off the price of Framed and Canvas Prints.

But wait, there’s more! During this time, I’ve reduced the markup, so the discount is around 30% for the above items (less for cards, posters etc).

Tonight's the night! Sydney exhibition opening

After months of anticipation and preparation, our group exhibition, Glass Eye is ready to roll. The gallery is looking like a thousand kinds of awesome!

The exhibition opens tonight, so come along and check it out!  Seriously, I’ve checked the TV guide and can assure you that this is better than finding out if Australia’s got the biggest loser talent in a hospital, and you can still m…

Glass Eye Photo Exhibition (Sydney), 22 April – 3 May

Posted 8 months ago

The world through the lenses of 12 young Sydney-based photographers.

Let us show you the world as we see it, through our glass eyes. Glass Eye features the diverse expressions of a group of Sydney-based photographers. The group were originally brought together by a common love of urban exploration in Sydney’s industrial backyard; capturing the less-than-glossy side of Sydney’s urban decay …

Rust and Skin - Photography Exhibition (Sydney)

Posted about 1 year ago

The Rust and Skin Photography Exhibition that I have been a part of has been a great experience.

It’s still open this weekend, so if you haven’t already, go check it out! The creepy disused buildings and range of talented photography on show is worth the trip, if I do say so myself. :p

Operator please, Part II

Posted about 1 year ago

I may just be imagining it, but the group moderator noise emails seem to have reduced since my last whinge. Even if this is coincidence or a factor of the behind the scenes changes, I still thank you.

Now, I just realised, of the bubblemail I still get, why they still annoy me. Unlike real email, there is no subject line!!! So, my “inbox” is full of uninformative first lines like “G’day…

Meeeeeeega-panorama, Sydney Harbour Bridge Pylon Lookout, NYE 2007

This journal entry is really an image, and there are a couple of reasons for this. One is that the image is so massively big that uploading it as art here wouldn’t do it justice, and secondly, the image when viewed up close is a little rough, not the stuff of portfolios. Nonetheless it is certainly an interesting image that I’d like to share…

On New Years Eve, around 3 in the afternoon, ...

Operator please

Moderators, I love your work, but some of you really could ease up on the bubblemail and save it for occasional important communications. I don’t join groups to hear about the mundane day to day issues of what happens in the group. There are forums and journals for that.

I know, it’s an extremely minor point, but with so many tidbits coming in from so many directions, information overload …
