Thanks so much Gerry, I haven’t been in this one but have been in many such old cottages, I used to live in a similar aged one in my former home but it didn’t have a thatched roof, thick stone walls, low ceilings with exposed timbers, I really regret moving from it in many ways but it was on a busy road and the traffic noise became too much in the end,

Thank-you very much Don, my previous home was an old cottage of similar age to this one but had a Delabole slate roof rather than the thatch, I do so miss the character that it had with exposed timbers on the ceilings but they were a lot lower than modern day ceilings,
