Hi Peter, thank-you so much my friend, I had taken this many times with other cameras over the years, most recently with the D100 but the extra detail from the D300 is quite amazing when I view it at full size, individual houses stand out clearly on the road from St. Just down to Cape Cornwall which is just below the skyline, pity they don’t show at this small viewing resolution,

Thank-you very much Michelle, I’m sure you would realy enjoy a holiday in Cornwall, it is very much reliant on goood weather and early to Midsummer is normally best before things get too busy with tourists,

June should be a good time to go Michelle, I normally go to Penzance, just about 10 miles from Lands End, good eating Inns for an evening meal and the access to the most rugged parts of the coast is so easy from there.
St. Michael’s Mount is only a couple of miles away in the bay off Penzance with it’s ancient castle on the rock as a most interesting place to visit but there are so many more.

You were so right to disagree Hillie, the teacher probably based their thoughts more on text books than reality, a sky’s colours can reflect on a calm sea but the greens near the shore often come from golden sands below it as in this case, thanks so much for your thoughtful comment,
