Through The Glass Darkly
Well, not glass, but still water that evening that looked like glass, and it was this view of the gull looking through the dark reflection that caught my eye…

And I think these two shots sort of work together. They may be only the lowly sky-rats to some, but they are among my most favorite birds for their big hearts and courage not to fly off as soon as you come within meters of them.
