Stomp
Whitetail Doe stomping her foot to sound an alarm. They do this to show annoyance, or to let the other deer in the area know there is something suspicous here. The next step is the snort, where she will exhale hard through her nose making a shhht! sound. All the deer in the area will bolt when they hear thhis sound. They will high tail it our of there.
Holding their tails up is another way of showing alarm. The underside is white and it is called Flagging. If their tails go up they are about to fly.
