The 1557 mile long Ganges River starts in the Gangotri Glacier in the Indian state of Uttarakhand in the central Himalayas. opens up in Rishikesh and Haridwar then off to Varanasi where this spectacular picture you took, Rochelle is taken. Off she flows thru to Bihar then splits off in a y and ends up in two areas of Bengladesh where you are doing your wonderful work and Culcutta. I am glad we can show 2 perspectives as I feel so much akinship towards her. She feels like my Ganga Ma, my mother my friend.
Yes you are correct. I was going to head up to Rishikesh on a trip early last year, but time got the better of me. The Kalakopa village is on the Meghna River which goes out onto the Bay of Bengal. I agree with showing different views of her. Such an amazing part of the world.
