There is something very comforting and mesmerizing about a campfire. In our family, the campfire kept us warm during cold summer nights, kept bears and mountain lions away from our camp and served as a gathering place where Chris would tell his stories to the kids or I would read a book out loud to them.
Brian took this photo at Hall Lake, Montana (USA), during his camping trip with Jimmy. We’re entering it in the Give Me Fire challenge, hosted by The World As We See It group. Taken August 5, 2011, by Brian Emerson with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera.
