10/12/11 – TOP TEN WINNER in the October Voucher Challenge, hosted by the A Little Bit Country group.

This is the western view at the campground in Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park. I couldn’t find the name of this particular peak, but it is part of the Tobacco Root Mountains, near Whitehall, Montana (USA). Although Lewis & Clark never saw the caverns, their trail passed through this area of the park.

Photo taken September 3, 2011 with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera.

I love this, I think the composition, textures and colours that you have captured are stunning! I also miss seeing mountains with no trees sometimes :-)

  • Thank you, Constance! I agree with you about the trees. I think that it has to do with what we’re used to seeing in our daily lives. When I was growing up in Southern California, I hated landscapes like this because it was all around me. Now that I’m surrounded by forest, I love seeing a rugged landscape. It’s so refreshingly new to me now.

Great capture!!!! How do you like the Kodak line of camera’s. I love my Z981.

  • Thanks, David! I love my Kodak camera, especially after using a Nikon and fighting with the weird colors that it gave me.
